Julia's Sassy Jalapeno Dip & Seasoning Mix
1 packet of Sassy Jalapeno Dip Mix
2 - 8oz packages of cream cheese (for more "Sass" use 1 package for less "Sass" use 3 packages) OR
16 oz Greek Yogurt OR
16oz Sour Cream. OR
Olive Oil OR
You can stop here and enjoy a tasty snack or spread on wraps bagels sandwiches or with pretzels crackers or chips. Sassy Jalapeno Dip can be served hot or cold with one of these Sassy and delicious recipes:
Sassy Jalapeno Pimento Cheese
Make basic Recipe (see above) and then add:
8oz bag of Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Small can of diced / chopped jalapenos (or use fresh jalapenos)
Large jar of pimentos
Mix all these ingredients together. It is ideal for mixture to chill for a couple of hours so that flavors have time to meld together. This spread is absolutely wonderful served hot with tortilla chips! It also makes a kickin' grilled pimento cheese sandwich. Any way you serve it you're sure to love it.
Sassy Fiesta Bake Dip
Make basic recipe* and add
2 cups of diced cooked chicken (or 2 large cans of premium white chicken)
1 jar of Red's Sweet Salsa (or your favorite salsa)
1 can of black beans drained
1 can of yellow or white corn drained
8oz bag of mexican blend cheese shredded
For this dip I like to use 3 - 8oz blocks of cream cheese 8oz of Sour Cream 1 Tbs of Sassy Roasted Garlic 1 Tbs of Sassy Sweet Onion and 1 Tbs of Sassy Jalapeno.
Mix well. Spread mix into casserole dish bake at 350 degrees until thoroughly heated and serve with tortillas. Outstanding!
Sassy Veggie Dip
Make basic recipe and add:
1/2 - 3/4 cup of finely chopped fresh or canned (and drained) veggies (carrots broccoli yellow squash zucchini tomatoes corn olives peppers eggplant etc.) For variation mix in a can of drained beans (black kidney chick peas etc.)
Serving Suggestions: As a dip serve with pretzels crackers or tortilla chips. As a spread serve on bagels crackers or flat out wraps for pinwheels.
